John Lewis enters their 150th year with a bang, recording a 6.9% sales increase year-on-year
great news for the nation’s favourite retailer
John Lewis has reported sales of £734m in the five weeks leading up to 28th December, a rise of almost 7% on Christmas 2012.
It’s hard to pin point why this growth occurred – could it be their The Bear and The Hare advert with the Reworked competition? Their Oxford Street debut on Google Street View? Or the general growth of high street footfall and online sales that we have seen this year?
Andy Street, Managing Director of John Lewis talks about 2014
